Connect Quok to Claude or ChatGPT

Quok speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol) - the open standard AI apps use to work with your tools. Connect your family once, and Claude or ChatGPT can read the calendar and add to the lists for you, in chat or by voice.

Setting up a connection is an organizer/adult job. (Roles and permissions)

Step 1 - Get your connection key from Quok

1. Open Quok’s settings: Preferences on the web, Settings in the mobile app.

2. Find Connect an AI app (on mobile: Connect to your AI).

3. Name the connection - “Claude on my laptop” - and choose Connect. Quok shows your connection key and the server address.

4. Copy the key now - for security it’s shown only once. (Lost it? Just create a new connection.)

Step 2 - Add Quok in your AI app

Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app):

1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

2. Paste Quok’s server address, add the connection key when asked, and confirm.

ChatGPT: connectors currently require developer mode - enable it under Settings → Connectors, then create a connector with the same address and key.

Step 3 - Say hello

Ask your assistant “What’s on our family calendar this week?” If it answers with your actual week, you’re connected. What to do next: Using Quok with your AI assistant.

Managing connections

The same settings screen lists every connected app - who added it and when it was last used. Disconnect cuts an app’s access immediately; do it without hesitation if a key may have leaked, and reconnect fresh.

Note

A connection acts as you - the AI app sees what you see and changes are recorded as yours. Keep the key private, exactly like a signed-in device. The full picture: What the assistant can and can’t access.
