Create your family and add the first members
In Quok, everything lives inside your family - the calendar, the lists, the members. You create it once, right after your first sign-in.
Create your family
Section titled “Create your family”-
Sign in at getquok.com (see Sign in with a magic link).
-
On the setup screen, enter your family name - “The Nowaks”, “Casa Garcia”, whatever feels right.
-
Add your name as it should appear to the rest of the family. We pre-fill this from your account, so you can usually just confirm it.
-
Tap Create family. That’s it - you land on your dashboard as the family’s organizer.
Quok starts you off with a default To-do list and a few shopping lists, so there’s something to use right away.
Add the first members
Section titled “Add the first members”There are two kinds of members, and it matters which one you pick:
Adults get an invitation. Anyone who should sign in on their own device - your partner, an older teen with email - gets invited by email. Go to Members → Invite, enter their email, and pick a role. They’ll get a link that’s valid for 7 days. Full details: Invite someone to your family.
Kids, guests, and helpers get a profile. Members who don’t need their own login - younger kids, a visiting grandparent, the babysitter - are added directly on the Members page with a name and a color. You manage their schedule and chores for them; they show up on the calendar and can be assigned to anything.
Not sure which role to pick? See Roles and permissions in a family.
One family per account
Section titled “One family per account”Right now each Quok account belongs to one family. If you’ve been invited to a family, accept that invitation instead of creating a new family with the same email.
