Sign in with a magic link

Quok has no passwords. Instead of remembering yet another one, you sign in with a magic link - a one-time link we email you.

How it works

1. Open Quok - getquok.com or the mobile app - and enter your email address.

2. Check your inbox for an email with the subject “Your Quok sign-in link”, sent from noreply@mail.getquok.com.

3. Click Sign in to Quok. The link opens Quok and signs you in. On your phone, it opens the app directly if it’s installed.

That’s the whole flow. You stay signed in on that device until you sign out.

Good to know

• Links expire after 15 minutes. If yours has expired, just request a new one from the sign-in screen.
• Links work once. After you’ve used a link, it can’t be used again - by you or anyone else. That’s a security feature, not a bug.
• Open it on the device you want to use. The link signs in whichever device opens it. Reading email on your laptop but want to sign in on your phone? Request the link from your phone instead.

Other ways to sign in

You can also sign in with Google or Apple - on web and mobile - handy if that’s already your email. All of these connect to the same account, matched by email address.

Signing out

• Web: Settings → Account → Sign out
• Mobile: Settings tab → Account → Sign out

To sign in on a new device, just repeat the magic-link flow there - you can be signed in on several devices at once.
