Invite your partner to the family calendar

Invitations bring another person into your family with their own sign-in - your partner, an older teen, the babysitter. Organizers and adults can invite.

Send an invitation

1. Open your family’s member list and choose Invite.

2. Enter their email address. We send the invitation there, but they can join from any Quok account.

3. Pick a role: adult, kid, guest, or provider. Not sure? Roles and permissions explains what each can do. Adult is the default and the right choice for a partner.

4. Send it. You see Invitation sent with a QR code and a 6-character join code, and they get an email - “Join the Nowaks family on Quok” - with the same link.

Now pick whatever is easiest:

• Same room? Let them scan the QR code from your screen with the Quok app.
• Somewhere else? Tap Share invitation (on the web, Copy invitation link) and send the link any way you like.
• Read out the code. They type it into the Quok app under Join a family.

Note

Younger kids don’t need an invitation. Add them as a managed profile - no email or account needed. Invite an older kid with the kid role only if they should sign in themselves. (Manage a child profile)

Invite from ChatGPT or Claude

If Quok is connected to your AI app, ask it: “Invite my partner to Quok.” It creates a single-use invitation link and hands you a ready-to-send message. Quok emails nothing, so send the message yourself by text or chat. The link works like any other invitation and shows on your member list as Invited.

While an invitation is pending

Pending invitations appear on your member list as Invited until they’re accepted. Tap one to show its QR code and code again.

• Invitations expire after 7 days. After that the link and code stop working.
• Lost the email? Open the pending invitation and share it again. (Resend or cancel an invitation)
• Made a mistake? Open the pending invitation and choose Cancel invitation - the QR code, code, and link stop working right away.
• “Already a member” means that person already belongs to your family - no second invite needed.

What happens when they accept

They scan, type the code, or follow the link, sign in - creating their account on the spot if they don’t have one - check your family’s name, and tap Join family. They land in your family with the role you chose, and you see them move from Invited to active in real time. The invitee’s side of the story: Accept a family invitation.
