Invite someone to your family
Invitations bring another person into your family with their own sign-in - your partner, an older teen, the babysitter. Organizers and adults can invite.
Send an invitation
Section titled “Send an invitation”-
Open the Members page and choose Invite.
-
Enter their email address. The invitation is tied to this exact address - they’ll need to sign in with it.
-
Pick a role: adult, guest, or provider. Not sure? Roles and permissions explains what each can do. Adult is the default and the right choice for a partner.
-
Send it. They get an email - “Join the Nowaks family on Quok” - with a button that takes them straight into the accept flow.
The invitation also comes with a short 6-character code the person can type into the Quok mobile app instead of clicking the link - useful when they read the email on a different device.
While an invitation is pending
Section titled “While an invitation is pending”Pending invitations appear on the Members page until they’re accepted.
- Invitations expire after 7 days. After that the link and code stop working.
- Resend: expired or lost? Just send a new invitation to the same address.
- Revoke: made a mistake? Remove the pending invitation from the Members page and the link stops working immediately.
- “Already a member” means that email address already belongs to someone in your family - no second invite needed.
What happens when they accept
Section titled “What happens when they accept”They follow the link (or enter the code), sign in - creating their account on the spot if they don’t have one - and land in your family with the role you chose.
