I didn't get my magic-link email
The sign-in email usually arrives within a minute. If it hasn’t, work down this list - one of these fixes it almost every time.
1. Check spam and promotions
Section titled “1. Check spam and promotions”Look for “Your Quok sign-in link” from noreply@mail.getquok.com. Gmail sometimes files it under Promotions or Updates; other providers may put it in spam. If you find it there, mark it “not spam” so the next one lands in your inbox.
2. Check the email address you typed
Section titled “2. Check the email address you typed”A typo means the link went to nobody. Go back to the sign-in screen and re-enter your address carefully - especially if autocomplete filled it in.
Also make sure it’s the address you use with Quok. If you were invited to a family, the invitation (and your account) is tied to the exact address the invite was sent to.
3. Give it a couple of minutes, then request a new link
Section titled “3. Give it a couple of minutes, then request a new link”Delivery can occasionally be slow on the email provider’s side. If nothing arrives after a few minutes, request a fresh link - the newest one is the one to use.
4. The link says it’s expired or invalid
Section titled “4. The link says it’s expired or invalid”Two common reasons:
- Links expire after 15 minutes. Request a new one and click it promptly.
- Links work only once. If you (or your email app’s preview feature) already opened it, it’s spent. Request a new one.
You’ll see “This link has expired or is no longer valid” in these cases - just head back to sign-in and try again.
5. Using a work or school email?
Section titled “5. Using a work or school email?”Corporate mail filters sometimes quarantine automated emails. If you can, check your quarantine digest - or use a personal email address for Quok instead.
Still nothing?
Section titled “Still nothing?”Email us at support@getquok.com from the address you’re trying to sign in with, and tell us roughly when you requested the link. We’ll take a look at our end.
