Delete your account

Leaving for good? Here’s exactly what deleting your Quok account does, so there are no surprises.

  1. Web: open Preferences (click your name at the bottom of the sidebar). Mobile: open Settings from the menu.

  2. In the Account section, choose Delete account.

  3. Confirm. You’re signed out immediately, everywhere.

  • You’re locked out right away. All your sessions end and you drop out of your family’s member list.
  • Your data is erased after 30 days. The grace window exists so an accidental or hasty deletion isn’t instantly irreversible - if you change your mind, contact support within 30 days and we can restore the account. There’s no self-serve undo.
  • After 30 days the deletion is permanent. Copies in encrypted backups expire within roughly 35 further days. Details in How Quok handles your family’s data.
  • If your family had a calendar feed, its link stops working immediately, so no external calendar keeps receiving events on your behalf.
  • If others remain, the family carries on without you - events, lists, and everything the family built together stay with the family.
  • If you’re the last member, the whole family and all its content is permanently deleted along with your account.

You can’t delete your account while you organize a family that still has other members - the family would be left without anyone able to manage it. Hand the role over first: on the Members page, open another adult and choose Make organizer. Then delete your account.

Only after your kids’ profiles, not your account? You can remove individual members without deleting anything else - see Remove a member or leave a family.
