Resend or revoke a pending invite
Sent an invitation and need to take it back - or nudge someone who lost the email? Both happen on the Members page, where every invitation sits under Pending invitations until it’s accepted.
Managing invites is an organizer/adult job, like sending them. (Roles and permissions)
Resend an invitation
Section titled “Resend an invitation”There’s no separate resend button - you simply send a new invitation to the same email address, from Members → Invite. The new email carries a fresh link and a fresh 6-character code.
That’s also the fix for an expired invitation: invites stop working 7 days after they’re sent, and a new one restarts the clock.
Revoke (cancel) an invitation
Section titled “Revoke (cancel) an invitation”Wrong address, wrong role, or plans changed:
- On the Members page, find the person under Pending invitations.
- Choose Cancel, and confirm.
The invitation disappears and its link and code stop working immediately. If the person clicks the old link anyway, they see “Invitation not found or invalid” - nothing about your family is shown.
Common situations
Section titled “Common situations”- Picked the wrong role? Cancel the pending invite and send a new one with the right role - the role is fixed when the invitation is created.
- “Already a member” when re-inviting means that email already belongs to an active member of your family - nothing to resend.
- They accepted before you cancelled? Then they’re a member now - remove them from the Members page instead. (Remove a member)
The invitee’s side of the flow is covered in Accept a family invitation.
