Accept or decline a family invitation
Someone added you to their family on Quok? Here’s what happens next.
Accept by link
Section titled “Accept by link”-
Open the invitation email - the subject is “Join the family name family on Quok” - and tap the Join button.
-
Sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to. New to Quok? An account is created for you right there; you just confirm a sign-in link we email you. (How sign-in works)
-
That’s it. You land on the family dashboard with the role your inviter chose for you.
Accept by code
Section titled “Accept by code”The invitation email also contains a 6-character code. In the Quok mobile app, choose Join a family on the welcome screen and type it in. Case doesn’t matter. This is handy when the email lives on your laptop but you want to join from your phone.
Things that can trip you up
Section titled “Things that can trip you up”- Invitations expire after 7 days. If yours has, ask the person who invited you to send a fresh one.
- The email address must match. If you sign in with a different address than the one invited, the invitation won’t be found. Sign in with the invited address.
- “Invitation not found” usually means the link expired, was revoked, or was already used. A new invitation fixes all three.
- Already in a family? A Quok account currently belongs to one family. If you need to move, ask us at support@getquok.com.
Don’t want to join?
Section titled “Don’t want to join?”There’s nothing you need to do - just ignore the email. The invitation expires on its own after 7 days, and you can ask the sender to revoke it sooner. Nobody gets access to your email or anything else if you don’t act on it.
